Steven D. Armamentos
- A 1984 graduate of DePaul University College of Law, Steve has devoted his legal career to the defense of persons accused of alcohol-related offenses.
- In 1989, the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin to ran a front page headline about his successful appeal, where the appellate court held that the Illinois Secretary of State’s denying reinstatement of an Illinois resident's drivers licese was an abuse of power.
- In 2002, Steve became one of the few attorneys in Illinois to be certified in Standardized Field Sobriety Testing under the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s standards.
- In 2003, Steve appeared before the United States Supreme Court as co-counsel in the DUI and roadblock case of Illinois v. Lidster.
- In 2004, Steve again made statewide headlines in his efforts to declare certain breath tests against DUI drivers to be held unlawful and inadmissible.
- A published author in Illinois DUI and Illinois criminal matters, Steve is well-respected in the legal community.
